Themed Point of Interest Packs: Gourmet Lyon

The content you require from your navigation device can change over the course of a year. From June 2007, ViaMichelin customers are able to download free, monthly Point of Interest (POI) packs featuring useful addresses relating to a specific event or region.

With its ideal geographical position, Lyon makes good use of the plentiful local of the Rhône Valley, such as its famed wines, as well as those of the Dombes and the Bresse regions, including their famous poultry. It is not surprising that Lyon endures as a leading city when it comes to French gastronomy. From catering to 'bouchons', intimate traditional Lyonnais restaurants, to starred establishments, gourmet palates will not know what to taste first!

Installation procedure

To install the Themed Points of Interest on your ViaMichelin Navigation mobile GPS device you must first have installed the “Content Manager” application on your PC from the DVD-ROM supplied with your PND and have version 6.5.4 (or higher) installed on your ViaMichelin Navigation mobile GPS device (click here to download version 6.5.4 free of charge).

Connect your ViaMichelin mobile GPS device to your PC, then log on to the ViaMichelin web site, access your "My ViaMichelin" account and click the "Themed Points of Interest" POI file you want.

If you choose to open it, the installation will start automatically.

If you choose to save it to your hard disk, go to the directory where you saved this file (outside the ViaMichelin directories) and open it by double-clicking with the left mouse button or give a right click and "open".

Please wait during installation; the operation may take 5 to 40 minutes depending on which file you have chosen.

The export has been completed successfully, click the "Finish" button.
