Capital of its local region (“comarca”), La Seu lies at the confluence of the Segre and the Valira, and is surrounded by attractive countryside. Following a period of major modernisation, the town is now considered the capital of the Pyrenees. Business, agriculture and livestock farming complement a sizeable industrial sector specialising in dairy products, which have been awarded a quality label.
