This delightful seaside resort, hidden amid the trees, was formerly the Epidaurus of the Greeks, which prospered during the Roman era. Very popular during the period of Austro-Hungarian domination, it has retained its sleepy atmosphere, shaded by huge palm trees which line its quaysides.
