Ljubljana

Klagenfurt, founded in the 12C by the Duke of Carinthia, lies on the banks of the warmest lake in the Alps. The poetic Lendkanal, with green banks and handsome villas from the turn of the 20C, links the Wörther See to the town. The 16C and 17C Old Town, is known for its fine squares, such as the Neuer Platz, with its massive famous dragon or the Alter Platz with superb Renaissance palaces and picturesque arcaded courtyards.
