Hotel Astoria
Piazza Brignole 4 I - 16122 Genoa
The hotel Astoria is situated in the impressive scenary of Genoa at the end of the century. In 1860 the building which represents the neo classical and Liberty style was erected by the well-known architect Barabino for the Marquis Serra family. This project was intended to meet the necessities of the new developing bourgeouse already at the time ( as well as today, there was a private bathroom in every room). Genoa responded by combining the sober austerity of the neo-classical style with the floreal ornaments of the Liberty style.
