Couven Museum

The museum is named after Couven, the architect who built this bourgeois mansion for the pharmacist Andreas Monheim. The museum displays a collection of furniture and magnificent chimney-pieces illustrating a centruy's worth of bourgeois domestic life in Aachen. It also houses a pharmacy where chocolate was made for the first time ever in 1857.
