The museum, one of Europe's modern sculpture centres, contains over 700 works of art from the 20C. Among the many artists represented are Beuys, Arp, Barlach, Calder, Giacometti, Dali, Kollwitz, Tinguely and Magritte. In another section you can see works by Wilhelm Lehmbruck (1881-1919), considered highly revolutionary in their time. The museum park serves as an open-air setting for impressive sculptures by various international artists.
