In this 18C private mansion, the Behnhaus, you will find works from the Romantic movement, by the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. You will also find works by Expressionist Kirchner and the Lübeck painter A Aereboe. The Drägerhaus, a former merchants' house, houses some paintings by Friedrich Overbeck, (1789-1869), head of the «Nazarene» school.
