Caixaforum
Av. Marquès de Comillas 6-8 E - 8001 Barcelona
The Caixaforum is housed in a former textile museum, a magnificent modernist building built in the early 20C by architect Puig i Cadafalch (1867-1956). Today this cultural centre boasts a splendid contemporary art collection of some 800 pieces, which are exhibited around different themes. The access in the centre is in the form of an impressive crystal and steel tree, designed by architect Arata Isozaki. Caixaforum also offers a comprehensive programme of cultural events (including conferences, lessons and concerts).
