One of the most pleasant streets in the town. It is pedestrianised and has low arcades housing numerous pâtisseries and confiseries full of the smell of chocolate, an old Bayonne tradition, as it was introduced to the town in the 17th C by the Jews who were expelled from Spain and Portugal.
