On this peaceful square at no. 1 at the foot of the cathedral is the canonical House where the satirical writer Paul Scarron (1640-1660) stayed. He was the author of Comic novel and first wife of the future Mme de Maintenon. Notice the little imp, who from high on the guttering contemplates you sneering with insolence. At no 1 bis, the presbytery has preserved a staircase tower of the 15C.
