Gladstone Pottery Museum
Uttoxeter Road GB - Stoke-on-Trent ST3 1PQ
In 1850, the Gladstone pottery employed 41 adults and 25 children. The original workshops, cobbled yard and distinctive bottle-shaped kilns have been preserved. It produced porcelain until the 1960s when it was converted into a museum of British pottery. Displays illustrate the growth of the Staffordshire pottery industry, as well as the products and techniques used. Traditional potters' skills are demonstrated in the workshops.
