This museum retraces the history of the Pike Family from Berkshire, in England, as well as their role in the wool trade and ship building during the Great Famine. Cork harbour, with its numerous isles and river inlets is represented by a scale model and famous shipwrecks are recalled. Several horse-drawn vehicles are exhibited in the stables. The history of the local fire brigade is also told together with a display of their obsolete equipment.
