Les Quattro Canti (piazza Vigliena)
Piazza Vigliena I - 90134 Palermo
This small square, filled with people, was built in 1608 in the Spanish Baroque style. The concave façades of the palaces surrounding it, decorated with Doric, Ionic and Corinthian structures, provided the setting for the fountains that each feature one of the four seasons, a Spanish monarch and one of the city's Patron Saints, placed in the four corners of the square, where the four former districts of the city came together.
