This is where the Frits Philips music centre ( the Muziekcentrum Frits Philips) and the De Heuvel Galerie business centre are located. The town hall (the stadhuis) was built between 1949 and 1955 by J. Van der Laan and J. Kirch. The Liberation Monument (1954), located across the street in the square, is the work of Paul Grégoire.
