This museum has a varied section on painting and the decorative arts from Utrecht and its surrounding area. Some furnished rooms are dedicated to the decorative arts from the years 1625, 1750 and 1975. The gold and silversmith's work, a doll's house from the 17C, the Rietveld collection and an insight into contemporary design are on permanent exhibition. The old paintings section brings together works by J. van Scorel and painters from the Utrecht school.
