Rietveld Schröder Huis
Prins Hendriklaan 50a NL - 3583 EP Utrecht
Restored after the death (1985) of the owner Madame Schröder, this house was built in 1924. Internationally famous, it illustrates to perfection the architectural trends of the De Stijl movement to which the architect G. Rietveld belonged: elements placed in a square to delimit the space, primary colours to underline the linear details, use of white and grey for the large surfaces, sliding walls in the interior.
