The MICHELIN Group, present for a century in the travel and travel-assistance sector, in particular through its maps and guides (tourism and hotel-restaurants), has decided to become a key provider of digital services for this field. These services, exploiting the new information and communication technologies, are designed as much for individual as corporate consumers. They will be accessible from both fixed terminals (computers, interactive televisions, etc.) and mobile ones (telephones, terminal emulators, PDA's, etc.), and will, in the initial stage, be focused on Europe.
