2007 Rugby World Cup in Lyon

Lyon will be hosting 3 matches and will serve as base camp for the US team. Several events will be organised on this occasion throughout the month of September.

Oval-flicks under the stars: films and documentaries on rugby with commentaries by sportsmen and cinema professionals (from 4 to 8 September, Place des Terreaux).

Festival Vets: Veterans tournament on Plaine des États-Unis (8 September).

Penalties contest: activities in the Parc de la Tête d'Or (first fortnight of September).

Giant screen

In September, Place Carnot will be the setting of the rugby village (village de l'Ovalie): activities and broadcasting of matches.

On 20 October, the day of the World Cup Final, a giant screen will be installed on Place Bellecour and will broadcast, from 2 pm, documentaries on rugby and, at 8 pm, the final.
