The menu proposes from February a smoked beer (Rauchbier) and a black beer (Schwarzbier). Inside, the typical copper cylinders lie side by side with modern paintings. Two separate rooms, one entirely for non-smokers.  KrokodilWaldstrasse 63 This highly appreciated venue, located in a sky blue building on Ludwigsplatz, is renowned for its Sunday brunch with an 'eat as much as you want' buffet. The various rooms offer different atmospheres. Of special note, a comfortable lounge with leather sofas and oriental carpets.  Café Böckeler Kaiserstrasse 141 A confectioner's, sweet maker, tearoom and ice-cream maker all in one. Böckeler's started out in Bühl and now has shops in Baden-Baden, Achern and Karlsruhe. And, as the icing on the cake, there is a large terrace on Marktplatz. Die Stadtmitte Baumeisterstrasse 3 This cafe-club-biergarten is located in the Ettlinger tower building, which forms an additional originality to the courtyard brim-full with exotic vegetation and luminescent objects. The outside is heated in winter. Many special evenings and invited DJs. A must-visit hip venue frequented by Karlsruhe's youths. Local specialities KofflersKaiserstrasse 66a Open from 9 am till 5 in the morning! In the day, an appreciated city centre address and, come night, a meeting place where clubbers get together to eat bratwurst (grilled sausage). Without this venue extremely well known in Karlsruhe, Kaiserstrasse would not be quite the same. |
