Folie Méricourt Guest Apartments (B & B)

At number 20 Rue de la Folie Méricourt you can stay in a pretty apartment of approximately 50m², situated on the 5^th floor of a fine Hausmannian building.The apartment includes two connected bedrooms (one of which can double as a lounge), a bathroom and a kitchen-diner with a dishwasher. It is ideal for families.

The first bedroom is decorated in pop tones with pea green wallpaper; the other one has an ethnic style with colourful African fabrics and photos from all over the world.  A dressing-room at the back turns out to be a very practical element for a prolonged stay. The level of comfort and the facilities are excellent:  flat screen TVs, DVD library, free Wifi and telephone, Paris brochures and tourist guides at one’s disposal plus a self service breakfast with homemade jams. A long flower filled balcony with bistro style tables and chairs offers an attractive view of Paris.

Situated between Bastille and République the Folie Méricourt quarter is little known by provincials and foreigners. Pascal tells us they end up "pleasantly surprised" by it. His guests discover through him the real life of this district. Pascal often acts as go-between for them with the local shopkeepers. But even better still, he is known to take his guests out for an occasional bike ride.
