The cat's out of the bag. Boon Eat + Drink might be a bit off the radar (tucked in the picturesque town of Guerneville) but its seasonal Californian fare attracts connoisseurs from miles around. The modest storefront features a covered patio for outdoor dining and a quaint interior where aluminum chairs and simple wood tables allow the local, sustainable fare to shine. When in season, Boon's flash-fried Brussels sprouts with olive oil and red chili flakes may be the best you've had. You may say the same of the grilled calamari set atop peppery arugula mingled with white beans; or Gleason Ranch-braised pork belly with black-eyed peas and sautéed garlicky greens. For dinner, try the grilled halibut with fennel braised gigante beans and basil pistou.
