+Pros

Reasonable interior design minus the cheap looking plastic flowerpots

-Cons

I tend to see myself as a regular diner at a variety of restaurants and pubs throughout the North-East. We received a very unwelcoming service from both a chap behind the bar and a woman (manager/landlady) made to feel a nuisance. Food cold and came without ingredients stated on menu. Once we brought this to the landlady's attention she turned her lip up and walked away with the dish- no immediate apology. Myself and colleagues were the only diners in. Wouldn't not waste money or time here.

+Pros

The food was lovely, really special.

-Cons

The service, from one lady in particular (think she may be the manageress). It's such a shame because the food is so tasty, but she was so rude and unpleasant to us we will not be going back. Also, my chair was broken and a sharp bit of wood jabbed me in the back as soon as I sat down. We had booked the meal (to celebrate our engagement) because of a set menu advertised on a leaflet labelled Nov/Dec 2011, but when we arrived this offer was not on (dispute the fact the leaflet in question was sat on all the tables), when we enquired about it we were treated to a tirade of abuse from the lady manageress, and made to feel unwelcome. The hard work and talent of the kitchen staff is wasted because of this woman, we won't return.
