Come to L'Essentiel and get down to essentials! In this family-run restaurant neighbouring the cathedral, the product is king... and the chef his faithful servant. A mix of tasty ingredients and delicate preparation makes for an explosion of flavours. Attentive service.

Un déjeuner très agréable. Nous étions déjà venus, nous reviendrons encore. Merci pour votre travail que nous apprécions. Michelin ne se trompe que rarement de toutes façons... Cette étoile est méritée.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante nel fine settimana pasquale e l'esperienza è stata decisamente negativa. Abbiamo scelto 1 Menu "Gourmand" a 42 euro (3 piatti) e 1 Menu "Gourmand" a 57 euro (4 piatti). I titoli dei piatti, chilometrici, sono inversamente proporzionali alla loro sostanza (molto scarsa). L'emulsione (onnipresente) viene usata per nascondere l'esiguità della materia prima: un minuscolo filetto di triglia, una microscopica pallina di vitello. Unico piatto da salvare: il fegato grasso d'anatra, ma globalmente il rapporto qualità/prezzo risulta decisamente scadente. I tavoli sono eccessivamente ravvicinati per un ristorante che vanta 1 Stella Michelin (immeritata). Carta dei vini con ricarichi esagerati. Dopo aver chiesto una caraffa di acqua naturale, ci hanno portato una bottiglia di minerale fatturata 6 euro (sic !). A fine cena avevamo voglia di mangiarci una bistecca ( o un piatto di spaghetti fate voi....). La guida Michelin deve rivedere i propri criteri di valutazione. Per quanto ci riguarda, non ritorneremo, questo è sicuro.
