Description

The ruins of the Franciscan friary, built in the 15C, are visible in the castle grounds, now a hotel and the golf club of Adare. The village is also home to the remains of other monasteries, such as 13C Trinitarian Abbey, which continues to serve as a church, and the 14C Augustinian Priory, both of which are on Main Street.
