Useful information

Description

The porch was protected under glass to preserve one of the oldest Christian monuments in Scotland. Three of the tombstones carry the chrismon and Latin inscriptions. Dating from the 5 and 6C, these stones from the first Christian mission in Whithorn are typical of the school of the same name.
