Bakgatla Resort is located in the north-eastern part of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, near the Bakgatla Gate. The resort offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and a children's playground. Bakgatla has basic chalets and tented accommodations. The chalets are air-conditioned and feature a kitchenette, at TV and a patio. The tents are equipped with a fan, private bathroom, tea-and-coffee making facilities. The resort has a restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Barbecue facilities are available. There is a spa, a souvenir shop. conference facilities and walking trails on site. Staff at the reception can provide information on what to do in the area. Guided game drives within the Pilanesberg National Park can be arranged on advance request. Pretoria and Johannesburg are within 2.5 to 3.5 hours drive from the resort and the entrance to Sun City can be reached within 40 minutes by car.
