The Michelin Guide's review
Finestra's elegant façade stands out from the crowd on Bonifacio harbour. On the first floor, this superb designer space mimicking the shape of the inverted hull of a ship, with a subtle maritime-inspired decor, features a large window (finestra in Italian) overlooking the port. Italo Bassi (who also runs a restaurant in Sardinia) and executive chef Edoardo Menna have devised a menu that allies the cuisines of Italy and Corsica. The hand-picked ingredients are beautifully showcased in remarkably precise dishes, such as the exquisitely crispy fried artichokes (carciofi alla giudia served with a variety of prawns and a hint of liquorice, or the signature double ravioli, featuring two different fillings and a light cream sauce made with Parmesan and fresh thyme. A taste of the Mediterranean!
