This vibrant, authentic and generous eatery is tucked away in a side street. Vintage furniture, an open kitchen, a few alfresco tables on a patio and a funky soundtrack from another era set the scene. The spotlight is on tradition and regional fare: pickled pork pâté en croûte (pork pie) with a perfect balance between texture, port wine jelly and gutsy seasoning. Juicy, tender, impeccably grilled lamb is served on a bed of fried cabbage with an acidic herby cream. A subtly daring chocolate and mushroom tartlet adds the final flourish to your meal.
