The Michelin Guide's review
A little off the beaten track but well worth the trip! Surrounded by meadows and fields, this restaurant surprises with its upscale and modern decor. The bright and airy dining space has the feel of a conservatory. In summer, the glass walls can be opened to the beautiful garden, creating a terrace feeling. Anja-Margaretha Moritz, your warm and attentive hostess, adds a personal touch that definitely contributes to the almost intimate atmosphere. As for the food, under the direction of Roman Pichler, excellent regional produce is meticulously prepared and presented in pleasingly pared-down dishes that are rich in contrasts and yet beautifully harmonious. A great combination of delicate acidity and sweetness, herbal notes and floral accents makes the beetroot, dill and mustard seeds, as well as fennel blossoms, marigold and oxalis an extremely flavourful creation. There is a surprise menu comprising five or seven courses, which, alternatively, can be ordered individually – but you can also take a peek at the menu beforehand if you wish.
