In the centre of Kobarid, a lively and colourful establishment that perfectly reflects the personality of its owner, Valter: a passionate wine lover and a host of great warmth and charm. The surroundings are simple and rustic, with wooden tables, lit candles and a warm and informal atmosphere. The cooking is frankly regional, made of charcuterie, excellent cheeses from local shepherds and dishes of genuine, hearty character, brought to life by bold flavours and accompanied by a very interesting wine selection at notably fair prices. Not to be missed are the Žlikrofi alla Polonka, ravioli filled with herbs and potato, with a most appealing aromatic profile, served with a generous dressing of butter, chives and crispy guanciale. Upstairs, a number of comfortable rooms are available for those wishing to extend their stay. A word of advice: covers are limited, so arriving early is advisable to secure a table.
