This charming spot, located on a street that runs parallel to the always-busy Gran Vía, is run with aplomb by the Villalón brothers (David and Mario), who named it after their mother. The dining area is by reservation only, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the bar and at the high tables. Here you’ll find a casual à la carte (tapas and small plates with a modern twist on traditional dishes) that’s still incredibly high quality, as many of the ingredients come from their own vegetable garden in Litos (Zamora). Fun fact: This restaurant is all the rage among wine lovers, as it offers a wide selection of wines (around 2,000 different wines by the bottle and over 50 by the glass). Heads up: they're only open Monday to Friday in the late afternoon and evening!
