The Michelin Guide's review
The gentle slopes of this ancient eroded volcano - the Cinco Picos - are criss-crossed with fields, separated by low black stone walls, where Dutch cows graze (beware, they sometimes enjoy a walk on the tarmac!). The road climbs to an altitude of 450 m, where there is a viewpoint from which to contemplate this bucolic landscape, which becomes sumptuous at certain times of day (especially at the end of the day): shades of green and brown in the vast pastures partitioned by lava rock, against which the sun and clouds play.
