The Michelin Guide's review
The oldest of Colombia's national parks (1960) covers 90km2 and includes high-altitude rainforest. Here you will find one of the country's last intact oak groves, as well as a labyrinth of canyons, faults and caves hewn out by the waters of the Río Sauza and its tributaries. A vantage point affords panoramic views over forests populated by 300 different species of birds. Among the must-see sites are the Cascada Cristales and Cascada Quebrada Negra, as well as a natural bridge over the Sauza.
