Extraordinarily jagged and continuously battered by the waves, this coastline and its rocks offer an extraordinary spectacle. A footbridge in front of the lighthouse used to provide access to the Créac'h headland, where the foghorn was located. Cargo ships and oil tankers animate the horizon; hundreds of boats use the "Ushant rail" every day, watched over night and day by French Navy patrol boats.
