The Michelin Guide's review
South of the Great Barrier Reef, this 14ha desert islet is carpeted with a forest of Pisonia trees, in which terns and shearwaters nest, and is surrounded by a heavenly turquoise lagoon full of turtles, manta rays and tropical fish. Day tours to Lady Musgrave Island include a guided walking tour of the island, a glass-bottom boat ride and snorkelling. Optional extras are scuba diving, reef fishing and overnight camping on the island.
