The Fajã do Ouvidor is the largest fajã on the north coast. Along the way, stop off at the lookout point overlooking it, offering a bird's eye view of this flat piece of land, an extraordinary oasis of fields and crops dotted with colourful houses, dominated by the sheer cliff face. A handful of restaurants, a small fishing port and beautiful natural pools (the spectacular Poça Simão Dias and do Carneiro) make this a popular holiday destination. A real little paradise.
