The Michelin Guide's review
Following the asphalt path of the General Grant Tree Trail in the early hours of the morning, the mist that envelops the cinnamon-colored trunks lends even more solemnity to the discovery of this grove of oversized redwoods, from which emanates a powerful fragrance, both sweet and amber. As many of these groves were discovered shortly after the American Civil War, they were named after illustrious generals. The most imposing of them stands 80 m tall in its enclosure.
