This scenic drive crosses the White Mountains National Forest, following from west to east the course of Hancock Branch, which flows into the River Pemigewasset, then the Swift River. In the fall, this drive through maple and birch woodland is one of the most spectacular in New England. Picnic areas and campsites invite you to relax by crystal-clear torrents, which turn into spectacular rapids at points. En route, Pemi Overlook offers a sweeping view of the region.
