The Michelin Guide's review
A long approach leads to the impressive ruins of the praetorium, the official residence of the Governor of the province. It was built under the Roman emperor Trajan (2C), then reconstructed in the 4C following an earthquake. Next to it, the razed walls of the thermae and the imposing basilica hall, built during the reconstruction, can be made out. Opposite, you can see the ruins of a small nymphaeum receiving water from an aqueduct, of which a few arches remain.
