 Park or garden
  The Michelin Guide's review
Created for the feudal lord of the town some 600 years ago and remodelled several times over the centuries, it is now a peaceful landscaped garden. A tea pavilion from the Edo period stands on the centre of the island surrounded by a pond. The house on the banks of the pond dates from the same period, as does the medicinal garden (over 400 plants, including ginseng). The two-storey building (Chouyoukaku) in the herb garden was named by Princess Setsuko, grand-daughter of the last feudal lord of Aizu.
