  The Michelin Guide's review
This is one of the few Fatimid mosques still to have its original layout with a large courtyard surrounded by porticos and a prayer room with five naves. The monumental façade is composed of large walls crowned with merlons, and flanked by minarets with slender domes perched on the truncated pyramids. The part located beneath these domes is called mibkhara (or incense burner). In the courtyard stand two elegant little ablution fountains.
