The Michelin Guide's review
Classified as a parque natural in 1990, the Sierra de Guara is a delightful area covering 47 550ha. It is dissected from north to south by numerous ríos running through canyons of grey-orange stone whose turquoise waters are perfect for canyoning and swimming and whose rocks are ideal for climbing and potholing. Visitors can also enjoy a pleasant stroll through the narrow alleyways of Alquézar, a delightful village renowned for its collegiate church. Another local attraction are the rock paintings in and around Colungo.
