The Michelin Guide's review
Considered the original Eden by Colonel Charles Gordon in the late 19C, this must-see on Praslin was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Marked trails crisscross this (20ha) forest topped by a thick canopy of vegetation and the famous cocos de mer (over 6 000), which have occupied an important place in the popular imagination here, as well as native palm trees, flamboyant, takamaka and acacia trees. An enchanting hike!
