You will need to climb a small hillock to admire the colossal 13m/40ft-high standing Buddha, carved out of the granite cliff face to which it is connected only by the back and one elbow. Lit up by the first rays of the morning sun, it is definitely worthy of its name, "he who feeds on the sun"! A breath-taking sight!
