  The Michelin Guide's review
This, the most beautiful promenade in Baden-Baden, is where an assassination attempt was made on the then King of Prussia, later Kaiser Wilhelm I, in 1861. Oak trees were originally planted here over three hundred years ago, but more exotic species of trees and shrubs have since been added.
