  The Michelin Guide's review
Surrounded by greenery alongside one of the few khlong still open in the modern part of the city, this unusual teak house once belonged to the American Jim Thompson, an Asian art enthusiast who settled in Thailand after the Second World War. Thompson introduced the world to Thai silk and built up an impressive collection of furniture, Burmese sculptures, Ming porcelain and Bencharong ceramics.
