Castle of Bournazel
Michelin Guide
Well worth the diversions
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
Built by Jean du Buisson on the site of a medieval building of which a few towers remain, this Renaissance castle has two wings worthy of the castles of the Loire, but with a superb stone of ocher color. The north wing, from 1545, is topped with a beautiful slate roof. Note the fine decorations of the frieze which separates the two floors.
