  The Michelin Guide's review
Montbarey Fort, built in 1784 under Louis XVI, is named after one of his ministers. Today it is a memorial to the Finisterians who died during the Occupation, with exhibits relating to escapes to Great Britain, photos of Brest in ruins in 1944... The crypt features a list of the Finisterians who died "during and because of the war", from 3 September 1939 to 19 December 1946 (date of the return of the volunteers who fought against Japan).
