The Michelin Guide's review
The region around the southern tip of Baie des Chaleurs is inhabited by Acadians. This reconstructed village, which stretches out for 1.6km, depicts the life of the Acadians from 1780 to 1890. Apart from the wooden church, all the other buildings are original and furnished in period style. 'Inhabitants' in traditional costume explain ancient crafts, such as weaving, spinning and cod drying... Start your tour at the visitor centre where a slide show charts the history of the Acadians.
